SCS/PS FINANCE SPRING 2013 CO-OP JOB DESCRIPTION
Strategic Communication Systems (SCS) Protected SATCOM (PS) Finance is in need of a Co-op Financial Analyst. This will be a fast-paced role supporting Cost and Schedule Control & Reporting and Financial Planning which includes Booking, Sales, Profit, Cash, New Business Investment, and Capital Forecasting.
Tactical responsibilities will include:
Prepare and analyze various weekly and monthly cost and labor reports
Provide support to the program Financial Analysts and Business Managers
Support ad hoc management requests

The SCS-PS Finance organization is a hands-on and integral part of each of the program's leadership teams who partners closely with the Program Management Office as a matrix report. Finance is responsible for:
Providing sound financial analysis driving intelligent business decisions
Ensuring accurate and timely forecasting of the major financial metrics
Implementing the cost control/earned value management (EVM) function of project management within the various programs.
Working towards a Bachelor's degree with major in Finance, Accounting or closely related field
Must be a junior level student during Spring 2013 term
- Minimum Cumulative GPA 3.0
- Strong computer skills, which include high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel - Advanced MS Excel [Pivot Tables, Lookups, Macros, etc.].
- Strong analytical capability and the ability to work effectively within a teaming environment
Previous co-op/internship experience
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Effective organizational skills
