WHAT YOU'LL DO


RISE is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven professional to join our team as a Program Specialist – Program Accounting. In this role, you will provide accounting support to the team for the Singapore RISE Programs.

Oversight of Finance Workstream

  • Manage both revenue and vendor payment processes for the RISE programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

  • Provide audit support for the RISE programs

Monitoring Program Financials

  • Strong oversight on program collections and refunds, proactively addressing any discrepancies or issues that arise.

  • Monitor program expenditures and revenue streams to ensure alignment with budgetary guidelines and financial objectives

Financial Recordkeeping and Reporting

  • Maintain meticulous records of all daily transactions, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of financial statements.

  • Ensure schedules between enrolment system, financial system and bank statements are reconciled and complete

  • Prepare and analyse financial reports tailored for various programs and stakeholders

Learner Support

  • Address inquiries from program participants regarding financial matters, providing clear and helpful guidance to ensure their satisfaction and understanding.

Team Support and others

  • Provide coverage for team members as needed

  • Support in statutory audit and other audits (if required) for RISE programs.

  • Take on ad-hoc assignment as required


YOU'RE GOOD AT

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)


  • Recognized Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience. Proven experience in project or program accounting will be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.
  • Familiar with Xero accounting software
  • Strong in Excel
  • Good understanding of SSG-funded training programs will be advantageous
  • Comfortable working with tight deadlines
  • Meticulous, organized and able to prioritize work
  • Strong in problem solving, execution and comfortable with fragmentation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work independently
