WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Senior Knowledge Analyst (SKA) within BCG's Principal Investors and Private Equity (PIPE) Practice Area, you are expected to provide expertise and insights across PIPE topics (e.g., Commercial Due Diligence, Fund Strategy, Portfolio Acceleration, etc.). The candidate will join the India-focused Geo Knowledge Team. We expect the candidate to support the topic through:
Working closely with case teams and providing insightful analysis for specific modules on DDs and portfolio acceleration cases
Getting staffed on cases and working from client-site or BCG office.
Contributing to selling and developing business through teaming on proposals, marketing materials and other client development work with focus on PIPE; develop innovative intellectual capital for related topics.
Interacting with both local and international teams and use an extensive collection of internal and external information resources to gather, filter, synthesize, package, and deliver information to case teams and clients.
BCG’s PIPE Practice Area works with the world’s largest investment firms, serving six client asset classes: Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Infrastructure & Real Estate Funds, Family Offices, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Pension Plans. Likewise, PIPE topics cut across not only these asset classes, but also across industries (e.g., Health Care, Consumer, Technology, etc.) and sub-topics (e.g., Tech Capital, Private Credit, Environmental, Social and Governance, etc.)
YOU'RE GOOD AT
- Establishing credibility with case teams regarding practice area; takes positions/draws conclusions on a range of external and internal issues.
- Solving client problems through formulating relevant research and / or analytical approaches in one or more relevant PIPE topic areas
- Codifying knowledge / maintaining assets & tools across PIPE practice based on different client contexts.
- Supporting BCG Partners & Principals on proposal, leads and other marketing activities.
- Communicating with senior stakeholders, in a credible and confident way
- Flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas.
- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity.
- Works closely with KT experts to collect, disseminate, and commercialize BCG's intellectual property.
- Develops proprietary knowledge for the Firm (such as conducting Industry Benchmarking, creation of databases, writing whitepapers and internal knowledge documents)
- Develops best practice material on PIPE topics to be used by teams or shared with clients.
- Collaborates on PIPE PA intellectual capital development such as Tier 1s.
- Promotes innovation at BCG by recognizing new concepts and facilitating their capture (e.g., facilitates documentation for KM of new framework developed by case team as part of client work)
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- 2 - 3 years of consulting experience in relevant PIPE topic required; candidates with consulting experience preferred
- In lieu of consulting experience, 3-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred.
- Master's degree or equivalent - preferably in business administration or business management with technology background.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual rigor, along with strong written & verbal comm. skills
- Strong organization and prioritization skills, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently in absence of supervision and to exercise sound judgment.
- Team player with ability to work with different seniority levels from different regions.
- Strong work ethic & service-mentality.
- Experience working with third party databases / data sources, preferred.
