The Team
The A&M Tax Canada Team offers comprehensive tax advisory services to clients in various sectors and industries. With a deep understanding of the Canadian tax landscape, the team helps clients navigate the complex and evolving tax issues that affect their business transactions, investments, and operations.
How you will contribute
As a member of the A&M Corporate Tax team, you will:
- Support client-facing Core Tax engagements, including compliance and advisory projects, when necessary.
- Identify and lead opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, process enhancement, and innovation.
- Collaborate with Canadian and U.S. tax teams on technology and transformation initiatives.
- Contribute and drive the ongoing growth and development of the Core Tax and Tax technology functions, including but not limited to incorporation of and roll-out of processes designed to optimize and improve tax compliance reporting.
- Conduct in-depth research on current tax laws and reporting. Specifically, your role would be to Identify how these legislative and reporting changes can and should be implemented into tax reporting software.
- Oversee and enhance tax compliance processes, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and implement best practices in tax reporting and documentation.
- Evaluate emerging tax technologies and help integrate new tools into the practice.
- Support and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the practice and demonstrate inclusive leadership behaviors.
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal development, client pitches, and cultivation of new and existing relationships.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree required, with a Master’s degree in taxation or accounting, or completion of CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program.
- At least 4+ years of progressive tax or accounting experience, ideally within an accounting firm or managing the tax function at a large organization with at least 1+ years in a tax transformation role.
- Strong writing, analytical, research, excel, and organizational skills
- Strong communication, presentation, project management, and business development skills
- Strong sense of personal motivation as well as the ability to work with a team
- Ability to work in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment.

The salary range is $125,000 - $175,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
